It was noted that Ryan has obtained quite a few plastic wallets, but these were slightly larger than credit-card size. Solutions were dicsussed, again:
Chris Smith and Barry to look into prices of Laminaters. Ryan to bring a few wallets to next meeting, so we can try cutting them down to various sizes. (This means we will not be able to return said box, of course.)

Filmsoc have replied, saying that they would like to challenge us on Thursday week 10. It was noted that many members would have gone home by then, and so Chris to mail Filmsoc to ask for a game at the start of the first term next year. It was noted that we would need about 12 people to play.

It was noted that the non-CS playing attempt was good, but that we need to get a more solid base of games to play. It was decided that we would try RA, TA again and Bomberman. It was suggested that the society could purchase some headphones to be lent to people without them at the gaming sessions. It was also suggested that the event be moved to Saturday next term.

Lazerlizard has proved to be quite expensive, about £13 for 2 x A4 picture on one shirt. Chris Smith to keep investigating possible printers.

Chris Smith has confirmed that this is from 9pm to 9am. It was also suggested that some posters be produced to try and whet both member and non-member interest in the event. Where we will get the T-shirts printed has not been decided, though it was decided that we ask LaserLizard for prices.

Chris Smith to mail ITS (CSV) about a possible extension to our Frinay night gaming sessions. A questionnaire was also suggested that people attending the session could fill out regarding the day/timing of the sessions and other thoughts.

Gill at CSV has been mailed, and a meeting arranged for Wed 8th 17:00 with Alison Allden, the Group Leader of Academic Services group, and the Group leader of PC Group. The fesability of gaming in CSV was discussed in preparation for Wednesday’s meeting.

This was attended by 12 members, which was an acceptable turnout, but below our expectations given the enthusiasm for the idea on the newsgroup. Notes of what was discussed have been posted on the compsoc website under the ‘Gaming’ section. Disks have been bought to copy the virus checking software onto.
