- Santi (temporarily)

Agenda 1: Leagues
-
Leagues being considered include:
- Basketball, which has been very successful, with a strong community and a winning record: “the best team ever”.
- Football, which Alfie wants to run better than last time, potentially in Term 1.
-
Football should be held on a day other than Saturday due to availability, possibly Sunday or Wednesday/Thursday. Alfie will investigate.
-
Weekly timetable:
- Run Club on Friday.
- Basketball on Thursday.
-
Basketball is organised on WhatsApp, hence the lack of information on Discord. Football is organised similarly.
-
These are the only leagues Zach was considering. The team will remain open to other options.
-
The payment deadline is normally one week into term.
-
The plan is to sign up as soon as the links are posted. Alfie will handle this.
-
The cost is £124 per league for the term, making two £125 payments in total for football and basketball.
-
If this is too much for the Sports budget, members could be asked to contribute; this has only covered costs in the past.
-
“Ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
-
Alfie would like to promote the leagues earlier in the term to recruit players before they are claimed elsewhere.
-
Tom F offered all social and publicity channels to help make this happen.
Agenda 2: Welcome Week
-
The event deadline has passed, so there will be no more events added.
-
Zach acknowledged that they both forgot the deadline and will try to increase attendance in other ways.
-
Tom F said that Sports can put something together if they want, although it may not receive the same level of treatment.
-
Schedule Run Club on a day with fewer events during Welcome Week, in its usual slot before FNG.
-
Tom S is running a Taskmaster event before FNG during Welcome Week, from 5–7 pm.
-
Run Club is flexible and only needs an hour of daylight.
-
Wednesday may be the best option, either before or after Git Good, as it is only an academic day.
-
The event needs to be added to the events website.
-
Alfie is happy to help with Executive-wide responsibilities during Welcome Week.
-
Jakub briefly joined, asked about basketball, confirmed that it was continuing, and then left.
Agenda 3: Collaborations
-
Zach wants to run tennis with CodeSoc again before the weather gets bad, in the first few weeks of term.
-
Zach lacks contact with CodeSoc members; Odin has contacts with their social representative.
-
Santi added that he has been playing tennis with several CodeSoc members over the summer and that it would be good to organise this.
Agenda 4: Run Club
-
Alfie has a broken elbow, which should be healed but may still be fragile by the time he returns to university.
-
Zach is working on fixing his knees, which will hopefully be resolved before university.
-
If necessary, another exec member can cover Run Club.
-
Run Club may need to move depending on Zach’s other society commitments, but it will stay in its current slot for now.
-
Keep an eye on the situation.
-
Do cool and fun activities, such as ordering pizza.
-
Potential activities include a 10K, thirty beers, or the Ender Dragon: the UWCS triathlon.
-
Alcohol could be replaced with a LeetCode medium, or LeetCode boxing could be run as a separate event.
Agenda 5: Compsoc Has to Pay for Its Past Crimes
