Alright guys, I am back from the dead; I've had a hectic 2 weeks of exams, and yet the maths department don't seem to understand STEM students don't usually have exams in week 3... If you're luckier than I am this week, we have a very busy schedule!

In other news, UWCS are going to Thorpe Park! We'll be going at the end of term to celebrate surviving exam season (June 19th), but tickets are on sale NOW!!! Whilst tickets are available until the 22nd May, they're selling fast and we have a limited number of spaces, so to avoid missing out you can find out more details on the SU website or via our discord.

Third-year project presentations are back 🎉 This is your chance as a third-year student to showcase your dissertation project to inspire the second years who will be picking topics for their projects soon, and celebrate the incredible amounts of work you've all put in. You're welcome to present in any style you like: slides, talks, live demos, or even something more creative!

What does "Big Meal" mean? Great question. The true meaning has been lost to time... but that just means you guys get to take the risk of figuring it out!

Come dressed as anything you'd find in, on, or around a BIG MEAL - whether that's a 🍔 burger, a 🌭 hotdog, a dining table, or even a 🧂 salt shaker. The wilder, the better!

Weekly runs, open to all members and friends of UWCS. An average week might look like a 5k around campus on a pre-planned route, but as this is the first term for which the event is being run, expect to see a variety of ideas each week. FOR ALL ABILITY LEVELS.

The Friday night fun continues! Please note that the default ending time for FNG this term is 1am to accommodate for exams!

We have a huge selection of fun activities for you to choose from, so come along for a great night :)

There are tons of options for consoles: Xbox with Rockband, Wii, Nintendo Switches, PS4 and more—all having a huge variety of games.

If you are more into Steam, we have that too! Not only that, but you can get full access to the department computers and enjoy a wide selection of free games (wow!)

It doesn't stop there folks. We also have an Oculus VR headset, so you can immerse yourself in Metaverse games. Beat Saber is a popular choice, but we have tons of options!
