As part of their new security measures, ITS are blocking a large amount of services. Until we are able to get things unblocked (sometime next week, we hope), you can access irc by connecting to irc.warwickcompsoc.co.uk, port 3389 (SSL IRC is at bermuda.warwickcompsoc.co.uk:3389).

Professor Kevin Warwick of Reading University's Cybernetics Department will be giving a guest lecture here on Tuesday, April 20th at 6:00pm in R0.21 (Ramphal Lecture Theatre). Professor Warwick claims to be the world's first cyborg, and had an electronic chip implanted in his arm. If you're going to go to one lecture next term, make it this one!

Server Update: The migration from MySQL3 to MySQL4 is now complete. All users, grants and database files have been transferred, MySQL4 is now running on the default port of 3306, and the MySQL3 server has not been restarted.
