There's a "clothing order":/society/events/details/774 up on the website. You can get T-shirts, Sweatshirts, Polo shirts, Hoodies and Fleeces - an unprecedented variety! We have also changed suppliers, so the quality should be higher. Clothing should also arrive before the BFL - so alumni members should have no problem collecting their orders.

Welcome back to term 3 and the excitement that is CompSoc. This announcement is primarily that Gaming will be returning this Friday at 8pm. It will be preceded by a social in the Rootes Social Bar between 7pm and 8pm. For the more hardcore there is a Techteam meeting from 6pm to 7pm, preceding the social.

I'm afraid it's the same system as last time, and thus totally unsuited for what we'll be up to: I'm afraid I really don't know what the table layout will be.
For now, however, can you update yourselves on it into approximately 6 columns of 5 ish, or 5 columns of 6, or some similar re-arrangement, and we'll see how we go when we do …

Recent MySQL Problems on Molotov

MySQL should now be fully functioning again if you've only been using MyISAM tables (the default). If you've been using InnoDB tables, your database should still exist, however you may have to restore data/table layouts from backups. If you don't have a recent backup or don't have access to your database, please contact techteam@uwcs.co.uk.

Our second LAN of term is now up on the events page. Note that as we are in a smaller room and we're not sure of power requirements, signups for this event will be limited to 30 at first. Once we know what the room can take, we may bring them up to 40, but it seems unlikely that we will be able to fit many more.

CompSoc is planning a karting trip on the Wednesday of Week 7 (21st Feb). It will start at 3pm at Mr. Karting, in Leamington, and cost will likely be about &£30 (I've not had confirmation of that yet). Transport is likely to be provided by members, so if you have a car, please say so in your signup comments.
